Ford posts 3% gain, Subaru soars 41% as industry shows spark Ford Motor Co. said its U.S. light-vehicle sales rose 3 percent in October and Subaru soared 41 percent, kicking off today's sales reports that were forecast to produce the strongest month this year not aided by government incentives.
